Note this is the Walnut Creek BART station, on the South end of Walnut Creek, NOT the Pleasant Hill BART station, which is on the North end of Walnut Creek.

From I-680, just North of the SR-24 interchange, exit Ygnacio Valley Road East, and enter the BART parking lot on your left.

The one pedestal-mounted MagneCharger is in the outdoor parking lot right on Ygnacio Valley Road, not in the parking structure. There are three other MagneChargers there, with blue or purple covers.

Citicar look-alike charger shown above. Look for the real Magnecharger (see photo below) for the EV1.

These are not compatible with the EV1, even though they look very much like regular MagneChargers. They have a special narrow paddle for BART station cars. You are looking for the MagneCharger with the grey cover (photo at right), which is in the leftmost position in the electric vehicle parking area. It can reach the two leftmost parking spaces in the section. Locked -- be sure to bring your charger key.

Signs say no parking except by permit. I'm checking into this. I understand BART does not enforce this for electric vehicles.

Things to do in the area: take a ride on BART. There are shops within walking distance. More details to follow.
