This is a good location, close to the North end of the Benicia Bridge on I-680, where I-680 and I-780 split. There are numerous signs leading the way to City Hall and Electric Vehicle Charging. I've not seen so many directional signs to Electric Vehicle Charging anywhere else in Northern California.

Benicia is an interesting and charming town, and was the California State Capital from 1853 to 1854. Check out http://www.ci.benicia.ca.us/ for more information.

As Chris says (below), there are many fine eating spots on First Street, just a block or so to the West of the charger. My spouse and I had a fantastic dinner at Petals Bar & Restaurant, 639 First St., 707-748-5695, closed Sunday and Monday. We had a table with a view of the historic State Capitol Building right across the street.

There is a conductive charging station here.

Directions: Off FWY 780 exit at East 2nd Street, travel towards water (south) across Military, make left turn at East L Street (you'll see City Hall in front of you, but the charger is at the rear of the building), make right at East 3rd Street, make a right at K Street then turn right into the back lot of City Hall. The charger is at the right side of the lot.

Nearby: Victor's for great Italian, Gumba's for quick Chicago Grill, Camelia Tea Room for lunch, plus many more all on First Street just a block away.

Leave a note in the mail slot at City Hall about how you appreciate the charger. Our 'with it' Mayor had no idea what the charger was for and accepted it only because it's was free.
